I read ‘Now You See Her’ (which, confusingly, I’ve discovered is also published as ‘Her One Mistake’) straight after reading Jon Ronson’s ‘So you’ve been publicly shamed’ and there was some overlap. Charlotte is babysitting her friend’s daughter, Alice, at the school fete. Alice goes onto the inflatable Jungle Run and never re-emerges. When it’s discovered that Charlotte was posting on Facebook at the time Alice was snatched, she is publicly vilified.
This is just one of the real-life issues raised in a book that has a twist at every turn. Yes, there are some parts of the plot that strain believability – and the ending went on a bit too long for my liking – but I found it a really exciting and absorbing read.

I loved trying to figure out the mysteries in this book. Some I saw coming, others were really surprises. I thought it was well-written and I was definitely hooked, wanting to know what’s going to happen next. I’d recommend it for a quick read, it’s interesting and you can relate to the characters in certain ways. Only complaint would be that I’m not sure the main character is ultimately likeable once you get to the end, but you can decide for yourself!

Blame it on reading too many thrillers, but I found the book super predictable and extremely slow paced.

Literally could not put this book down. You assume you know how it will end but you don’t. Each chapter had me wanting to get to the next one .
