This one was terrific! There is very little Jack of the Tales, which is always a bonus for me, and as a treat, when he did appear in the story he was very unlike his usual self.

The Fables are confronted by the Adversary on their own turf. They are able to set aside their differences to band together and drive his minions back. This was a reread for me, so I know who the adversary is, but there is an added element of grief rereading the characters reactions since they do NOT know who it is. Very, very sad.

The art in this particular volume, every single issue, was fantastic. There were no missteps like in the previous volume. I really enjoy comic art, so am generally happy during a series run to get some variety and see loved (or hated) characters in a different way, but I’d be happy if there were no more guest illustrators in this series.

Fables was published under Karen Berger’s editorialship (is that a word…hmmm) and in my opinion Berger was the best. I love almost everything she approved. When I am looking for a comic-y something to read, I always feel safe with anything published between 1993-2013 by Vertigo.

3.75 almost wanted to give it 4 but Bigby not owning up to not empathizing with Snow still rubbed me a bit the wrong way. Otherwise this would be the best one yet.

Estava a comer bacon quando li o segmento com o cameo do Colin =x

Reduzi uma estrela na classificação por causa do lettering incompetente da primeira parte. Detesto maus letterings.
