Hard to get into. I was enjoying the back story parts but what was happening in the main part was hard to follow.. partly because of how often it was broken up & partly because it's a time & place I'm not familiar with.

Perhaps a certain interest in Cold War-era South America is needed to fully enjoy the story, but Knecht’s strong, albeit flowery, prose and cynical empathy shine regardless. ‘Who Is Vera Kelly’ is an engaging and culture-conscious classic spy novel.
