Some of these stories I adored and there were a few that I just kind of skipped over after a few pages.

I love the concept of this book. I think it's fantastic that the people on here got together and wrote a book together.

I'd definitely read my favourites from this compilation again.

I read about half of these short stories and some were pretty good...and some weren't that great, but mainly because there wasn't enough of character development.

The anthological stories you are about to read are the product of a very special project sponsored by the Goodreads M/M Romance group—the online community for readers who love to read about men in love (Male/Male).

The group moderators issued an invitation for members to choose a photo and pen a Letter to Santa asking for a short M/M romance story inspired by the image; authors from the group were encouraged to select a letter and write an original tale.

The result was an outpouring of creativity that shined a spotlight on the special bond between M/M romance writers and the people who love what they do. This book is an anthology of those letters and stories. Some most amazing

This anthology took a while to finish - too many stories. A few were too short, some were hard to fathom but a few stood out from the crowd.
I enjoyed Rommy and Jules a cute cat and dog shifter story. A Bugger to Pack by Kim Dare was one of the longer ones and a good slave charity auction story. The Guttersnipe's Gift set in historical London was another to stand out.
Overall 4 stars for the anthology even though to me some were only deserving of 2.

Only two stars. I am very sorry about this, because usually I really enjoy the "Don't Read in the Closet" Events. But this time there where just too much strange BDSM and D/S stories for my taste. Althoug I am slowely getting used to this, this is way it took me literally years to read that book and this influenced my rating a lot.

This was a mixed bag for me. There were a few really good stories, some that were okay, and a couple that just made me cringe (Santa orgy!?!?) Out of the good ones, a couple I would have loved to have seen fleshed out into longer stories, especially the sweet story of David and Nathan, Christmas Gifts by William Cooper, a new author for me. Another was In the Wind by Wren Boudreau, another author I've never read. I will definitely be looking for more by these two.

I liked the wide variety of themes, some more closely tied to Christmas than others.

ETA: I skipped several of the stories on my 2017 re-read.

ETA: in 2022, I tried to re-read and DNF the first few stories and saw several by authors I won't re-read. I deleted the book from my Kindle. Rating moved from 4 to 2.
