Loved it. It does get slow at times (Louis is a yapper) but it’s so worth it in the end

Oh my goodness what a drag. I absolutely love the TV show adaptation but the book reads closer to a queer but closeted version of twilight.

It's overly long and repetitive, but I was driven along by the moral complexities of Louis, a vampire who battles with his expected identity: a killer. He loves, empathizes, is tortured by guilt, and hates his immortality. Fascinating and disturbing.
