Another winner, but that's no surprise at this point. I loved getting to know Adrian and his secrets and meeting Niall. Their romance was perfect and there was also a bit of suspense thrown into the story to keep me on the edge of my seat.

On another note, I've been craving age gap romances where the actual age gap wasn't an issue for either or both MC's. I am happy to report that I didn't find that in this series so far. Maybe a little bit at first, but it's kept to tolerable levels. Unlike many other books, where it's such a big, ridiculous, unreasonable issue that it makes me want rip my hair out out of pure frustration. Not the case here, and I am very very glad for it.

On to book 4, Kurt's story!

5 stars for the relationship. Adrian and Niall were perfect together, I love a grumpy recalcitrant character and to get two and them be attracted to each other was a joy.
Unfortunately I couldn't give the whole book 5 stars because the situation Adrian found himself in (and his past) gave me a level of anxiety that impacted on my overall enjoyment of the book, but that was totally on me as a reader.
Can't wait for the next book in the series. Tomas? Max? Kurt? The cute doctor...

Audio: 5 stars I love Gary Furlong, his accents are just perfection!! Audio can be found on Scribd.
Book:4-4.5 stars

This can be read as a standalone, I did DNF the first book and skipped the second book and just picked up this one. Yes you will know the previous couples and their backstory better if you were to read them, but it is not required to get your full enjoyment out of this book.

These two grumpy, commitment-phobe souls were able to find one another and learn to trust and fall in love. I really enjoyed their journey to their HEA.

I am now on to book two lol just showing off mood reading at it's finest lol

This delivered the witty & sarcastic banter I've come to expect from Jay Hogan. The characters' interactions were great, and I really enjoyed the suspense aspect of this storyline. However the pacing and romance between Adrian & Niall never fully came together like I wanted it to, I never fully connected with them as a couple and I think that was because there wasn't much time from them meeting and their initial snark/dislike of the other to them finding each other attractive and pursuing more in that regard, I needed more on page interactions between them for that change to feel genuine I guess. This is a good grumpy meets grumpier story, and I enjoyed getting to know more about Adrian and his past and the drama that came from that definitely kept me interested. 🌶🌶

Adrian is the best and no one can convince me otherwise. How was I supposed to resist a grumpy, word-loving, coffee-obsessed writer with trust issues? Wasn't going to happen. I really enjoyed this one. The plot got sticky and involved, but I never felt like it was unnecessarily convoluted. Also very much loved seeing glimpses of Stef again. AND THAT ENDING! Perfection.
