1) All fairies are Caucasian? As well as the main character and her dog, who is white with a couple of freckles? It is jarring. 2) The text refers to your “fairy friend” and uses the singular pronoun consistently, and talks about what “you two” will do, referring to the main character and her fairy - but the illustrations show a gang of 5 or 6 fairies in every scene. I think this is a confusing discrepancy for this audience.
Lovely and cute, but the exclusion of fairies of color makes this a miss.

Adored the artwork. I would've gotten lost in the pages as a child.

Super adorable children's book about catching a fairy friend and being respectful and letting her go.

It’s a cute rhyming story. How to be friendly/ friendship. I didn’t like the illustrations though. But the story, really cute.

Darling illustrations, but the verse is lackluster and didactic.

Disney-esque illustrations couple well with lyrical, rhyming text that would be great to read-aloud.

Very lovely and sweet. The illustrations have the fantasy and lightness that fairy's should have. Has a lot of connections to movies and other books.

This book is incredibly magical and sweet. The art is soft and gorgeous and I loved every image. It's an easy one to read at story time - not very long, simple to follow, calming, and the rhyming is melodic.
