I'm not rating this because I only read part one - I do intend to come back (anyone who's spent 5 minutes with me knows I study 17th century Protestantism!) However, as I'm doing a masters on this topic I don't really want to read this in my own time right now...

Very much enjoyed what I've read so far - this would make a fantastic introduction to this branch of Christianity for anyone.

This was probably the best book on the history of the Protestant Church that I have ever read. The author writes very clearly and is easy to read. The book also served as a nice reference on some of the distinctions between the different Protestant denominations. Highly recommend!
