وأخيررررا... وبعد طول انتظار تم الانتهاء من الكتاب.... هي حقيقي كانت غلطة إني أقرأه في الوقت ده...كنت عايزة أقرأه كله في وقت صغير ولكن الحمد لله
بالنسبة للكتاب فأنا استمتعت به جدا وأسلوب زافون السردي الأكثر من رائع.. ولكن الحكاية كانت غريبة شوية الكتاب ده... منتظرة إني أنهى الثانوية العامة لكي أتفرغ لقراءة باقي السلسة...
وأنهى بأجمل اقتباس من الكتاب:"كل كتاب أو مجلد تعيش فيه روح ما، روح من ألّفه وأرواح من قرؤوه وعاشوا فيه وحلموا بفضله، وفي كل مرة يغير الكتاب صاحبه أو تلمس نظراتٌ جديدةٌ صفحاتِه تستحوذ الروح على قوة إضافية"

Not as good as his first book, The Shadow of the Wind, but good nonetheless. This book really pulled me in; I didn't want to stop reading. It is a literary mystery.

This book is so much better and will make sense AFTER you read the whole series! Pls don’t give up on this story. It will all make so much sense in the end and how it is so important to the plot!

Zafón tinha um talento fora de série para criar narrativas dentro do realismo mágico. Aliava o real ao imaginário com uma mestria admirável que o tornou, na minha opinião, numa referência neste género literário. Escrevia como poucos e definia personagens fora do normal, interessantes, misteriosas, complexas. Este livro tem presente tudo o que mencionei anteriormente. No entanto, falta-lhe algo muito importante e que encontrei nos restantes livros que li do autor: um desfecho bem conseguido. Senti que a parte final desta história foi acelerada, feita "às três pancadas" e acabei por me sentir perdida e confusa. Uma história que estava na direção certa e acabou por seguir a direção oposta. Não é a melhor obra de Zafón e, mesmo assim, é um ótimo livro: acho que isso já diz tudo sobre o talento admirável deste eterno escritor.
