This book really gave off Pet Sematary vibes, which is completely fine, because I absolutely love that book. I'm actually curious if the ending is a nod to it. This book swept me up though and did not let go !

We follow three different points of view, and two different timelines. The chapters are labeled with the name of the person we are seeing through, and the year is written as well if it's switching timelines. This did confuse me a bit in the beginning. At one point it switched to a character that was far removed from everything that had happened so far, so I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be happening at the same time as the previous chapter or not.

There is one character that is introduced in the second half of the book that I would rather do without, as their only purpose seems to be to add tension. There are also some reveals where it seems highly unlikely that no one would have noticed. However, these are just minor issues that I have, and didn't take away from the story itself.

I did find this book to be predictable, but I really enjoyed reading it, and I think it's one of the better thrillers I've read.
