this was fun! i loved seeing a doctor as the mc and not "just" a nurse (though ofc i love all the nurses too). grace and carter were just perfect for a dual pov romance — they're constantly questioning and overthinking and always knowing what the other was feeling made me feel a bit powerful ngl.
it meant so much to me to see an mc who was chronically ill and it wasn't treated as a too big deal. grace's feeling about her epilepsy and how she wants other to treat (or not treat her) because of them felt so familiar to my own feelings about my chronic illness.
at first, i wasn't the biggest fan of the last part — i'd hoped for a different outcome — but somehow, they make it work and had so many "awww"-worthy scenes after it.
i'm really loving this series and so excited to read the next book!
