I honestly loved this more then the first book. I cant wait to read the last one and see how this absurd mess comes to an end. I am slightly worried at the prospect of the climax being in the next book because mosquitoes and the umbilical chord have changed me I now have a fear of mushrooms and pregnant people. Dispute being slightly disturbed I loved this book and it was just amazing ahhh.

One of the most genuinely horrifying things I’ve read in a LONG time. So excited to finish this soon.

I'm guessing the whole point of this manga series is the exploration of the spiral forms and were they occur and how it can be turned into horror. But the plot is driving me insane, or rather, the character reactions to these atrocious things happening. Like. You have this unbelievable, totally insane, physically impossible things happen and the townspeople are like "oh, yeah, Greg got turned into a snail last week, what a loser lol", or "yes, this pond has the tendency to attract weird spirally things but we're still gonna continue to live near it." Like, what the actual fuuck, people?? Go get some help. This isn't normal. You don't have to live like this. Pleasee.
And it isn't even scaring me.
I'm disappointed cause the other Junji Ito stories I've read before really gave me goosebumps cause there were some really smart twists and revelations. Unfortunately, I have yet to get to that part in this story.
