What would you do if you received an unexpected inheritance? Especially, if you thought that the money was gained via less than legal means?
This is the premise of the amusing novel from Imogen Clark, An Unwanted Inheritance. In this tale, the Frost siblings (Matt, Ellie and Nathan) are berefit at the sudden death of their father Tony. Matt's wife Caroline discovers a suitcase containing a large amount of cash hidden at Tony's home and soon the family are deeply divided over how to deal with the money. Should they divide up the money equally? Tell the police? Donate to charity?
Over the course of the novel, various secrets come to life and we learn why each family member has their individual reasons for wanting to access the money. Love and loyalty soon are on the line. This is a short and amusing story and I enjoyed the various PoV which added an interesting dimension to the tale.
