I read this book in one sitting. Hello Forever is the second and last book in the series and I enjoyed this more then the first one. The pacing of this book was pretty good. The characters didn't get togheter to quick but also didn't make us way for it too long. We first get the know the characters a bit more apart then togheter at first and i really liked that. I loved how we get from the first akward meeting to penpals to lovers. They weren't friends really because they didn't see eachother but they had this fun penpal emails going on, flirting but also talking about imported things. I Liked it allot.

Cax was in a really though spot and i liked how he stuck around for his 3 brothers. I felt allot of times sorry for him and his situation. I also liked that almost everyone around him knew he was gay and how he didn't really knew that. He tried so hard but it didn;t really work out. His panic and fears felt real to me and I never really was mad at his character or anything like that. Yes he pushed axel away a couple of times but he did have allot of issuses and I tought he did the right thing protecting himself and his brothers.

Axel was just a fun dude. I found it a bit weird how he just moved away for a glimps of a guy but whatever. I liked that he is good at cooking and baking, just made it a bit cute to read about. Axel is kind of a loner/ downer i tought. But thats i think on the whole moving to another city with no one really around but he finds his way with josh and caleb and his workfriends. I liked that we get a chapter right before they back off eachother that really lets Axel know how Cax situation his and why is the way he is. I found him really understanding and i just liked that he never pushed it or anything.

We see josh and caleb living their best lives and it was really fun seeing them troughout the story just being themselfs. Overall I really liked this book.

I listened to the audiobook version. I read this because I enjoyed the first book in the series so much. Goodbye Paradise I feel is a stronger story. There is something comforting about the general setting of the story and the characters. I enjoyed listening to it. The story itself is nothing special. Of the two I prefer Goodbye Paradise. Still a fun listen for the spicy content!

I really enjoyed the first book in this little interconnected duet. Seeing Josh and Caleb again from Goodbye Paradise was so nice even if they were only side characters. But anyway, this story was good, but nothing that really grasped me. I usually go feral over a good friends to lovers story but eh. This one I could have skipped.

Also would like to talk about how one of the characters name is Caxton. Caxton… i think it’s technically his last name but that’s what he goes by. Idk why she just didn’t go with Paxton.

Hello Forever is the second book in the Hello Goodbye series, but they can be read as standalones, but if you haven't read Goodbye Paradise you need to! Sarina Bowen is extremely talented. She co-wrote one of my favorite series' of all time, HIM, with Elle Kennedy. If you haven't read that, go get that too! Hello Forever is a second chance romance. Two young boys who share a love of basketball and each other who are suddenly ripped apart. Only to see each other years later. It was a young love, but one they never forgot. Axel and Cax were young and innocent when they shared their first kiss. Now, years later Axel has a new job and he's out and proud of his life. Cax, on the other hand is hiding who he really is to protect himself and his family. But, as soon as Cax sees Axel again, all those feelings come rushing back. He can't seem to stay away from him even though he knows it's a risk. Axel has always loved Cax and he's not going to let him get away this time. He'll be there for him for whatever he needs. And hopefully he needs his heart and body. After a few shared moments in secret, things start to heat up. But can they finally be together? Will they be torn apart again? I loved this story. It's emotional, funny, sexy and heartbreaking. Axel and Cax are so damn sweet and hot together! They just get what the other needs. It's like no time has passed. I loved seeing Caleb and Josh again soon and I'm patiently waiting for more from this series!

The world was a brighter place with Axel in it. Even if I couldn't have what I wanted, just seeing him across a room made me happy.

"Been waiting…"
"You don't have to wait anymore."

"That's a hell of an offer. Sounds like a blast."

"This is a small town. You can't have too many friends who like both basketball and dick." ~ Jason.
