In conclusion: everyone except Raistlin Majere is insufferable.

Racist. Defiantly sexist. Unbearably straight.

Really good! It kept me wanting to read. It ended on a cliff hanger as there are two other books in this trilogy. Looking forward to starting the next one.

This book, along with the other two in the Legends trilogy, was one of my favourites as a kid. The characters may be the same from the Chronicles trilogy, but only in name. The authors overhauled them completely, moving beyond simple stereotypes to create compelling individuals. This is still far from a work of high literature, but in my opinion this is one of the better modern fantasy books out there and I would definitely recommend giving it a shot if you like the genre.

Couldn't connect as much with this

. Would have liked to see more
of the events leading up to the Calamity. Didn't like the time skip once the storm started.
Not a lot happened and it felt stretched out. Tas Goat
