One of my favorite books of all time.
Had me sobbing 3 separate times. This book is funny, realistic, educational, and ABsolutely dEvastating at the same time.

The characters are amazing. Turner and Lizzie are just brilliant. They’re bond is so strong and beautiful. Both characters are also wonderfully written in their own individual ways. They both just felt so fleshed out and real.

I think this book portrays racism in a really real and devastating way. Because, after all, racism is devastating. It isn’t fair and it’s just a terrible, terrible thing that exist in our world, and this book doesn’t fail to explore this theme. Everything’s as devastating as the event really was. Nothing’s sugarcoated. It’s real and in your face.

I don’t know what else to say about this book. I read it in a single day because the plot’s paced so well and I’ve been crying for the past 30 minutes.

In conclusion, this book is so good and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.
