Somewhat predictable, did not love the mental health as a plot device but I think it was done with good intentions

this is a strong contender for my list of best books i've read this year. i honestly can't wait to read more by this author. i was blown away by how masterful she was at leading the reader through this twisting narrative. i had such a hard time putting this read down, and even when i did, i puzzled over the pages i'd read until i could pick it back up again. that's how invested this book will make you.

though i was able to piece together what was going on before the halfway point of the book, i would not call this book predictable. i was questioning myself until the very end and only assured that my wild theories were accurate when i hit the last couple chapters.

all in all, i found it to be an incredible read.
