“Pip wondered.
Wondered whether the moment of no return had already been and gone, or whether this was it, here, right now, hovering above that red button. Either way, going back didn't exist anymore, not for her. There was only forward. Only onward. She straightened up and pressed record.”

The second book in the AGGGTM series! I loved the first one and was really excited to continue the series. I didn’t like this one as much as the first, but I still enjoyed it.

I didn’t find myself as invested in this storyline as I was in the first book. Even though the case is very different, it felt a bit repetitive to the first book for me. I wasn’t flipping pages nearly as fast. That said, the last 100 pages were fantastic and I flew through them. The ending was so good and really sets it up for the next book. I still absolutely adore the characters and the writing style. Like the first, I love that we (as the reader) get to uncover the mystery alongside Pippa. It’s great storytelling and leaves you guessing until the end.

Excited to see what happens in the next!

Loved it just as much as I loved the first one. Listened to the audiobook and it was a great experience. The only thing I didn't really understand were the few scenes with fatphobia/body shaming. I wasn't even personally picturing the character as fat (idk if he's described that way, I may have just missed that detail I'm not sure) so when he was later referred to as fat and shamed about losing weight or something I was a little shocked. I understand why the author did that since there are plot points related to it later in the story, but I honestly don't think the body shaming needed to be included personally.

A solid installment to the series. I love Pip & Ravi. Certain parts of this book felt overly melodramatic which took me out of it slightly. The ending came out of left field(!) and I didn't love it. This book didn't have the same emotional impact on me as the first book in this series.

This was a crazy read compared to AGGGTM. Still just as good, but had a lot more turns + twists that I just wasn’t prepared for or expecting. I would have put a 5 star rating, but don’t let that fool you…I literally only put 4.75 because the beginning of the book felt slow for me. But as I continued reading, it truly picked up + made me question everything.

The first few chapters of this book was slow and tbh I thought it was all going to be a transcript of the trial, but then things happened, and things got interesting and then the pace started to quicken.
From page 200 until completion I could not put the book down. I was completely immersed in the story.
Once again similar to agggtm my thoughts of who and why changed the more I read, and once again I did not guess who the culprit was or why.

Good Girl, Bad Blood effectively builds on the foundation established in its predecessor, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, offering a satisfying continuation of Pip's story. The blend of mystery, emotional resonance, and character exploration creates a well-rounded narrative that keeps readers engaged from start to finish.

The book also tackles important themes such as the influence of social media, the impact of trauma, and the complexities of friendship, making it not only a thrilling mystery but also a thoughtful reflection on contemporary issues. For readers who appreciate a mix of suspense and character-driven storytelling, this book is a worthwhile read. Overall, it's a powerful sequel that leaves readers eager for more from Holly Jackson.
