The second book in the AGGGTM series! I loved the first one and was really excited to continue the series. I didn’t like this one as much as the first, but I still enjoyed it.
I didn’t find myself as invested in this storyline as I was in the first book. Even though the case is very different, it felt a bit repetitive to the first book for me. I wasn’t flipping pages nearly as fast. That said, the last 100 pages were fantastic and I flew through them. The ending was so good and really sets it up for the next book. I still absolutely adore the characters and the writing style. Like the first, I love that we (as the reader) get to uncover the mystery alongside Pippa. It’s great storytelling and leaves you guessing until the end.
Excited to see what happens in the next!

Graphic: Gun violence
Moderate: Body shaming, Drug use, Rape, Sexual assault, and Murder
Minor: Fatphobia
The body shaming / fatphobia isn't super graphic and the plot moves along quickly, however it is used as a plot device in multiple scenes and one of the characters is referred to as fat with negative intent during a scene so I wanted to include it. Also the rape and sexual assault is mostly references and flashbacks to the previous book, there aren't any new scenes that include SA from what I remember.pam_'s review against another edition

From page 200 until completion I could not put the book down. I was completely immersed in the story.
Once again similar to agggtm my thoughts of who and why changed the more I read, and once again I did not guess who the culprit was or why.
