Not as good as the first but still pretty fun. Had some good twists, but I didn’t like how mystery ended. Other than that I thought the ending was quite good, well written, at least the ending was.

those last few chapters? i was there with her. that was fucking scary. incredible. never wanna go through something like that again.
 happy i was able to guess who they are 191 pages in. never fully trust people who are kind for no reason. they also just groomed her to do bad things and just fully let her anger out. did pip go to therapy after the last book? she def should go now.
i hope max dies next. or go to jail forever, then immediately die bcs they beat him to death.
wish i could tag the cw for betrayal bcs fuck ant & lauren.

the beginning of the book was not as catchy as agggtm. found it kinda hard to pick up, but i'm glad i pushed through, because once i hit the 20%-something mark i really couldn't stop. especially the last 40% of the book. holy shit. she's done it again. completely blew me away by the last few chapters.

After finishing the second book, I had to go back to the first book because I realized what was missing when I was reading the first book: the anger and the emotion. Now, Pip is a very hopeful, and at times, forgiving character that it annoys me because some things aren't black or white but because she has one goal in mind or see things in glitter, she can't see the gray area and why it can be hard to root for a victim or a villain. But when I saw her anger towards a certain trial, I was proud to see that she is able to feel emotions other than hope and this kidlike sadness (sometimes, I felt like she was too kiddy though she's 18). I appreciated it and it made me connect with her, though it will always be difficult for me to see myself in a young girl who doesn't think and just do (the amount of times she puts herself into near death experiences, knowing darn well her family and friends warned has made me want to claw my eyes out).

I did like this book a bit better with the plot, though it was a bit predictable who the culprit was. The emotion and intensity was definitely there that i could not put down this book.
