It was refreshing to read a book set in a castle that isn't romanticized in the way that castles typically are. It's a great read.

this book is destined to become a go-to read for when i'm depressed and need to curl up with a funny, oh-so-british teenager finding love story. i'm appreciative of a bit of zest instead of emo wah wah. if i'd read this growing up, this would probably have 5 stars. i dunno, it's that kind of book.

Cassandra ow insufferable for about 1/3 of the book. Realistically so, but a bit trying.
