Looking at the very large and the very small through a theoretical physics lens in a way that is approachable to the general public. Quite short, but it read like a very enjoyable long essay.

This was really an amazing read. The only reason it doesn’t have the full 5 stars is because sometimes it got too wrapped up in science particulars I wasn’t completely interested in, though I devoured most of the book. I felt that I resonated with much that was written, and I appreciate Lightman’s own thoughts and inputs. He’s a talented writer and scientist, truly.

im gonna be honest, i got like halfway through and gave up but im marking it as read bc im one book behind schedule. ill finish it eventually.
this was extremely bland - which is understandable, since it's non-fiction. but still. it could've been made much more interesting. i understood and remembered about three sentences. its something like a history of a bunch of sciences. not my type of book, but if anyone is interested in that kinda stuff, this is for you.
