Ignoring how we got here (the previous two seasons were mostly a mess and certain parts are better to be forgotten), with Giles being a child, magic getting rewritten, ghost-Anya haunting Xander, Spike and Buffy's relationship flourishing, and the gang being reunited, this season has a lot going in its favor so far. The characters experience the hardship of keeping up with an ever-changing world filled with novelties that clash with their established identities and knowledge. They are forced to adapt and continue learning and growing alongside the movement, lest they plan on becoming complacent with feeling out-of-place and dated. Throwback to Buffy's cookie dough speech. Oh honey, you'll never be completely done baking. Although I can sympathise with what she was going for in that scene, these first issues of the 10th season only prove further more how growing and changing doesn't stop when we become adults. Well, at least it shouldn't.

This has definitely been my favorite of the Buffy comics. The narrative arc of Xander and Dawn's relationship is moving to me, and I love seeing Giles in a new light. Although I have enjoyed reading the comics, up to this point, I have felt that they lacked some of the wit and punch of the television series. But this one had the same spark and humor, and I feel that the series has gotten momentum back. I can't wait to see what happens next. I also ordered the Willow and Spike comics that are a follow-up to Season 9 and tell more of the back story of what happens between Seasons 9 and 10, as Angel and Faith Season 9 did as well.

Ok loved it! Season 8 wasn't my cup of tea and season 9 was pretty good but the art was starting to get sloppy. I'm so glad Isaacs is on Buffy now, I really enjoyed her work on Angel & Faith and season 10 looks beautiful. That being said the story is also going in more of the direction that I associate with the show. Magic is back and the Scoobies are finally altogether again, albeit Giles might have gotten shorter. But really the Scoobies make Buffy, they need to be together. Willow doesn't need to go on a quest and Spike doesn't need to venture to outer space because these characters are most interesting when they are working together. Overall quite pleased with the start of season 10.

This was probably my favorite installment yet of the Buffy graphic novels. The plotline made sense, it was exciting, and ANYA IS BACK OMG. There were some silly jokes, but what is Buffy without silly jokes? I look forward to the rest of season 10.

4.5 stars! I LOVED this installment; it's my fav so far in the Buffy comics. There's a new artist (and colourist?) and the art is SO MUCH BETTER! And the gang is all back together again and I got that warm family feeling of all of them fighting evil together that the show has in its best episodes.

I enjoyed the beginning of this season and thought it started with some great stuff. They changed the artist or the art style and it's cheaper and more cartoony. It feels younger and less ... something. I guess the art was ok, but I don't like how everyone looks different now. It's annoying.

Well, magic is back and a whole new set of problems. The Vampyre book is being rewritten and who is the one going to rewrite it. Spike is back for now and so is Dracula. No relationship lasts in the Buffy-verse, they wouldn't allow that, so Dawn and Xander are not so good. I knew it wouldn't last. You know it won't last in the Buffy-verse so I don't get attached any longer.

I thought this was fun.
