So. I’m gonna be upfront here. I got fatigued towards the end of zodiac academy and so put off reading these because I was scared I wouldn’t love them. I needn’t have been concerned.

This is a great start to what I hope will be another brilliant series. It’s got a feisty FMC who I’m a little bit in love with. She’s just what I expected from a heroine in this series, pretty, badass and she’s not going to take any

3.5 Most RH books I read are predicable and start to become laughable but this one hits different. I like that all the guys have unique personalities. You can clearly tell them apart. I also like that the FMC is a badass but not one of those annoying girls that has to constantly show off or pep talk herself. She’s not a “pick me.” She doesn’t instantly bend to these men even though she’s attracted to them. She constantly ignores these men and they come to her, which I liked. She’s also not one of those FMC that instantly starts boning all the dudes and she isn’t the type of girl who needs a man to save her all the time. She can fend for herself.

The main reason I’m not rating this higher is it’s long. There’s a lot of filler stuff that just isn’t necessarily and it makes the investigation aspect of the plot slow. Additionally, there are some spelling and grammar errors.

Be aware that this book is 80% yearning so if you’re expecting a bunch of NSFW content it’s not very prevalent in this first book in the series.

Being generous with the rating because of the Zodiac Academy series and since both series share the same world, let it be. I liked Elise, not sure about the guys, well, we'll see in the next book, if any of them manage to capture my heart.
