Sibby is a fascinating character and I loved her first meet with Zade! I loved how she described his soul based on what she smelled from him!

I literally could not stomach this. It was challenging in terms of theme and characters - but beyond that the writing itself just felt juvenile. The whole thing gave me big time ick. I’ve had this series on my list for awhile because I’ve seen it around on bookstagram etc. but I just couldn’t do it. Life’s too short to read books that are a waste on time. Sighhhh. On to the next!

Made the mistake of reading this after haunting/hunting adeline instead of before, while I enjoyed the book I would have loved more of sibbys back story instead of the repeat from haunting adeline.
It was nice and short though and was an interesting story

read this out of morbid curiosity and wish i hadn't. not because it's "dark" or "challenging" but because the flow of the prose is worse than a kinked garden hose and the author has no awareness of her tendency towards thudding repetition. mix that with her belief in q-anon conspiracies of shady networks of "elites" orchestrating the sexual exploitation of children and you wind up with... this novella. at least it was short.
