so glad i decided to read this!!!! it definitely expanded my understanding of the universe, introduced me to a lot of interesting reflections and had great, great commentary on real-world issues!! i can't believe i didn't read this sooner - it's so nice to see my favorite characters again :) loved the cliffhanger at the end, the new characters (the dark one???! i am in love) and the art!! i think i'm never going to stop being amazed at the worldbuilding of this series!!

This was the first Avatar the Last Airbender comic book I ever read and I liked it. It was really interesting that this was cannon, I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that the TV series is being continued with a books. I felt like the characters were much more childish than the TV show, which should be the opposite. I want to see the gaang be more mature, I will say there was some heavy topics in the book relative for children.

AMAZING continuation of the original series! The characters are learning how to pave their new world of peace, and the conflict was intriguing. The fire nation colony of Yu Dao was a great example of how cultures can blend and become something new entirely. Zuko continued to have a reflective character arc as he struggled with self-doubt throughout the story. Aang also experienced some interesting character development. He realized that while Roku has provided solid guidance in the past, in this case, Aang needed to make his own judgement call. Awesome story and art all around!!!

Thank goodness I found out there were comics that continued the story cause I finished it last night and I felt that there was so much more to tell, besides I was already missing the characters.
It would've been so cool seeing this animated in some sort of extra episode (Ova like style) cause it's actually really interesting to see how difficult it is to rebuild a world that has been at war for so long and to see the different effects that domination has on people.
I really enjoyed this comic, I'm giving it 4.5⭐ since there were a few things I didn't like all that much but given that those are minor details, completely related to my personal taste, I won't mention them.
