This one has been on the pile forever and I couldn't bring myself to read it because I was sure I would be disappointed. The only reason that I'm not is probably because my expectations could not have been any lower. It left me pretty confused. I was just beginning to warm up to the characters and *poof* it was over. The characters felt somewhat unbalanced to me and there just wasn't enough of a case to draw me in. I wonder if she is going to continue to write about them. This book doesn't get anywhere close to the early Scarpetta novels but I would have been very surprised if it had.

I LOVED IT.
My first book of Patricia Cornwell and it will not be the last!!!
I liked more ‘cause I got it correct.

Someone left this downstairs on the mailboxes so I picked it up to read. I read it and didn't hate every minute or feel like I should stop reading it (plus it's short). When I finished, I put it back on the mailboxes. Enough said?

Hmm, trying to find something good to say about this book. Well the character of miss dog was quite good? Apart from that majorly disappointed!

I really liked the Winston and Sykes characters. However, their constant dissatisfaction, although realistic, really didn't help the story. The mystery itself was poorly played out, so I was disappointed with the entire story.

Not up to PC’s level of quality ! I felt that all of the action happened behind the scenes and I struggled to keep up. It was almost like I read SparkNotes with the dialogue left in.
