I first heard about Harry Potter on NPR one night while driving home from my, then, boyfriend's house. It was within a week of it's being released in the US and J.K. Rowling was talking about her humble beginnings and how little Harry first came to her on the train. I was intrigued and bought a copy within a week. I read it quickly and began telling friends about it but nobody wanted to read a children's book about a boy wizard. Luckily that attitude did not last. I hate to say "I told you so" but to all of those who would not listen I say "I TOLD YOU SO!"

i know i'm going against the grain on this one buuuuuttt i didnt enjoy it as much as everyone else around me at that age. i started reading it when the frenzy started buut it took me an entire year to finish this book lol it was good but the book is just entirely too damn big! the words were small the pages were thin and it just took me a long time to get through it. good story tho.
