For most of the book I was struggling to like Sasha as she kept dipping into the TSTL category. It was wonderful when she looked back over her behaviour and realised that she should have asked more questions.
Overall a good example of good aliens helping humans fight the bad aliens.

This was a case of high hopes for me. I was excited for some alien romance narrated by Teddy Hamilton and this audiobook missed the mark in many areas for me.
I really struggled with the characters and consent. For a King of a species that has relations with earth his lack of understanding of earth customs was disappointing. He frequently expected his human female to make accommodations for him without making any for her. Their communication was an issue and the pacing and action in the story seemed slow and rushed simultaneously.
I found the writing to have odd grammatical phrases. Words repeated within the same sentence, at one point it said "he took a mouthful of her breast in his mouth" which is repetitive and unnecessary and there were many sentences phrased like this. The audiobook also had multiple editing errors where which made it through editing and proofing. All of this caused the book to be very difficult for me to read.
The best part of this book was Teddy Hamilton, He performed multiple characters and a 3rd person perspective narrator distinctly and his voice is always enjoyable to listen to.
There were a few moments in the story where I became hopeful this might be a solid entertaining 3 star, but I can't in good conscience rate it higher than a 2.
