A very quick and interesting read about an exciting discovery. I really enjoyed the historical/biographical comparison about how climbing gear has changed. What early climbers were able to accomplish without modern climbing gear is really impressive.

Brilliant book set on Everest true story on the discovery of George Mallory more than seventy years after his expedition in 1924, highly recommended.

I agree with other reviews that it's a bit too 'oh isn't Conrad Anker amazing' and got a bit sickly at times with all the Conrad admiration

Pretty good, if somewhat clunkily written. I wasn’t very familiar with Mallory, so it was interesting from that perspective - the story about the actual search wasn’t very deep or at least wasn’t deeply written, though still fascinating. Worth reading if you’re an Everest obsessive like me. Anker is a pretty compelling guy (though not the greatest writer).
