First pages and I coud not go further. Charactera that are minors are talking about their perveser fantasies. The MC is a sad male virgin that can not take his eyes of certain parts of a girl he just met, who is blantly boasting with the fact, that a guy (she was not single) groped her boob. And the, are romanzicising smoking.

I do like John Green, and I really believe that the book has an (maybe) important messge and needs to build itself up for that. But it was just too much for me. ALL WITHIN THE FIRST FEW PAGES.

I am disguted!

A truly heartfelt and melancholy book that deals with loss, grief and friendship. John green has the incredible ability to describe settings in immense detail and completely immerse the reader. This book will always be a favourite of mine, having gone through something similar. Much love to John Green and his fantastic novel writing.

This book I loved I high school, but it is meant for high schoolers. Harder to relate to the characters now.

Still enjoyed it. Just not as much

I thought this book was incredibly boring. I was forced to read it by my English teacher because she said it was her favorite John green book ( I love John green btw) and I found her comment honestly disrespectful. Of all the amazing books he’s written, she chose the lost mind numbing piece of literature in his collection. The ending felt unexplained and honestly out of nowhere, but I guess that’s what you get from John Green books.  Despite how much I disliked it, John did a great job at creating a kind of time vacuum for the reader. The main character seemed to lose track of the days just like I did while reading it and it helped me to understand the main characters mental state. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone unless they like slow paced, dialogue based, and plot hole filled stories.
