i’m obsessed with the banter that Sam and Fiona have. Probably my favorite part of the book and my favorite part of the authors writing.

Had some moments I loved (banter, side characters, narration) but found that it glossed over the important messages and the ending left me wanting more (but not in a good way).
Graphic: Mental illness
Moderate: Cancer and Sexual assault
Minor: Drug use, Panic attacks/disorders, Alcohol, Body shaming, Sexual content, and Adult/minor relationship

I loved this book for the first like half. It was so light and cute but also heavy and understandable. The characters were quirky and I really liked most of them. But once I got to the halfway point Sam because absolute trash. Do not sit there and get embarrassed to be seen with someone and then continue to fuck around with their emotions. I feel incredibly bad for Fiona. She deserves so much fucking better then the absolute dumpster fire that is Sam. And get a new fucking agent Sam Jesus.

I have really mixed feelings about this book. I feel like the chapters were too long but the book too short. The beginning was so promising and I could see something building but keeping her reason for not doing the show until the 2nd to last chapter felt...wrong. Like, grooming is a big topic and could have been dealt with better in the book. Also the love story between Sam and Fiona was so unrealistic and happened too fast for me. There were also times it felt like no one actually went through and edited this book. I dunno, it was enjoyable but definitley not a favourite. ALSO where were the tws???? We should normalize trigger warnings at the beginning of books

I enjoyed this but it wasn’t groundbreaking. I really like the author’s writing style, and I liked Fiona’s dryness, but the plot was a bit average for me.
