This is like a 4.5 feel but imma round it up to 5 stars bc of how it took me thru all the emotions. It was also the only book I never skimmed at any point, I was 100% invested the entire time! Such a perfect way to end the series ♥️ Who would’ve thought an accidental pregnancy story would be my fav in the series!!!

What I loved:

1) the communication >>>

Colm’s reactions with anything related to the baby were so freaking cute, I love him sm ♥️

2) Imogen - she’s such a strong FMC who doesn’t take any BS and I respect her so much. She saw through Colm’s defense mechanism, and her battling her demons with Preston’s death

So I got in on this series after it had already started, but now I need to go back and catch up on them all. This was a great ending to the series, although there are some other side characters and friends that I would love to see get their own stories. If you are a fan of sports romance, Maya Hughes is an author you need to check out. Her characters all have great backgrounds, it’s more than just a romance, there is a lot in the works for each character to improve on themselves or figure out for themselves before things can be the way they need to be. But there is also all the steaminess that I love in my romances, along with the sweetness and romance you’d expect.

Poor Colm. He’s hurting so much, and all I wanted was to just take him and hug him, and of course Imogen does that at first, but when things get messed up, she blames her own troubled past as well as letting her own issues come in between them.

Now, both of them did the thing that I hate at the end or another part of the story, in just not listening or giving the other a chance. Letting their own issues just be in the way and not opening up. I also had a bit of trouble with Imogen’s nickname. Imo? So is that pronounced like “emo”? I don’t know, just a personal issue that tripped me up a bit as I was reading.

Again though, I really loved it, and once again am grateful for being able to read in one day, because it was really hard to put down once I picked it up!

Yes, please!
Been wanting to read his story for so longggg!
I loved this book so much. It’s so great that I couldn’t stop reading even if I had to put the kids to bed and honestly, I can never leave a story by the author unfinished in one sitting because I became addicted to her books.
It’s heartbreaking, heartwarming and a great addition to the series as well as provoking with a redeemed hero. And oh my, does he have to work for it!
This series is one of my favourites and I would always recommend it

DNF @ 31% (chapter 13)
I started this book. Cried. Took a break. And went back and just couldn't do it.

Before Reading:
I am kind of nervous for this book because I am so sad Preston is gone. I feel like he was Imogen’s soulmate. And the fact that they were together since they were 13 and soulmates. It crushes my heart that they didn’t get their happy ending. Preston sacrificed his life for Imo. And I want her to be happy. I just wish it could be with Preston. I hope they do this right and I don’t end up hating it. I’m already going in skeptically because I love Preston and it truly breaks my heart that he didn’t get his HEA with his soulmate and fiancé. The fact that they got in that accident right after he proposed literally makes me want to die. I want Preston and Imo to get their HEA. Why can’t Ford just end up with someone else, why does it have to be Imo. And it's an accidental pregnancy. Like why? I want a book where Preston gets what he deserves. His HEA with his soulmate.

After:
I don't think I can read this book any more. Every time they mention Preston I start crying. He deserved so much better and his own HEA with Imo. They bring him up so much it makes it hard to forget and want a HEA for Imo when Preston never got one. I also already don't like Colm from Ford and Liv's book so I might DNF. Fuck this. Why do good people never get what they deserve. I love you Preston.

I have never disliked two characters more. Nor have I ever cringed so hard.

There’s no better way to end the Kings of Rittenhouse Series than with Colm Frost! This story had every single emotion thrown in that you could think of! Colm is struggling, REALLY struggling in this book and it broke my heart. Colm and (I’m not giving that away) hit it off but then there are so many misunderstandings and issues in their pasts that prevent a future for the two of them. I felt every single emotion between them. Also, seeing the rest of the Kings step into the family role and show their unconditional love had my heart! The last book in a series is always the hardest and Maya Hughes did an amazing job closing out this chapter of the Kings. I highly recommend the ENTIRE series!

A cute, fluffy read that has definitely raised my standards for fluffy reads in general. There were solid threads of realistic character development and even when I got upset at how the MCs responded to situations, it made sense with their backstory and they solved the issue with their partner by clearly communicating why they reacted that way. Healthy relationship-ing? We stan.

This is the first book I read in this series. You could read it as a standalone, but I definitely felt like I was missing some key pieces of information. The first part was great, but it didn't build the way I wish it did. It fell flat for me. But I did like this more than the Off Campus books.
