This was cute and felt like it was aimed at the younger spectrum of the teen audiences which I'm very open to. I'm not super happy about Batman's depiction but I guess it was needed for the story to work out. The art is lovely as well.

Beast boy had a really good speech this issue and I'm happy that they are focusing more on the relationships the Teen Titans have to each other than on the action. Great issue!

Maybe I'm a bit biased but I ended up loving this volume simply because I'm obsessed with the Teen Titans. Though they definitely aren't the lovable squad we met in the animated show, you do end up warming yourself up to them pretty fast. Its not hard to understand why I'm still Team DC all the way.
I love that the storyline was action-packed and fast. There were plenty of introspective parts in which we got into each of the heroes heads but the fights wee both epic and sometimes, gut-wrenching. Learning about Damian Wayne and his past reminded me more of the original Batman comics what with the angst and the identity issues. Its a change of perspective when you're used to the charismatic Dick Grayson (whom I still missed).
The best surprise out of all of this? Kid Flash. The Flash fam has a special place in m heat but Wally is my fictional son. I loved his humor and paired up with Beast Boy; they made a dynamic duo of comedy and badassery.
I thought the comedy was fantastic and not overly cheesy as it usually is in comics. Raven's first design is amazing; I loved seeing her as a younger version of herself without the excess brooding. My only problem was Starfire's initial design. She's the only one whose hypersexualized (which I kind of understand considering she's a DC sex icon) but it felt awkward wit everyone else being teens. The second artist did a little better in making her blend with the other Titans and I appreciated that.
All in all, I'm very excited to see what this Rebirth has in store for us. Kudos, DC.

Kinda mad about the art change bc I really loved the first issue or so, but I'm really excited to see Damian open up more and see how the teen titans shape up bc loving them as a team. Much prefer Damian with Jon Kent in Super Sons though, but ugh it kills me that he grew up like that.
