Frustrating. I love the characters and the writing humour is my kind of dry, not to mention all the geek references. But it drags on and on here. I soon lost interest in the geography descriptions of where everything was.

This book (and the series) is inventive and enthralling, and holds up to a second listen. The reader is absolutely brilliant, and this series is well worth listening to instead of reading.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Peter Grant is an excellent MC and the plot lines with all the secondary characters make me laugh out loud. This series is a must read if you are a fan of Dresden and Alex Verus. As always, start at the beginning to get the best out of it!

I really enjoy these books. They make me read like I did when I was a kid. I stay up too late at night, read at the dinner table, avoid/ignore conversations with humans to get in more reading time, and generally just race through them like a kid running with scissors.

Their just so much fun. But now, I've whizzed through this one and will have to wait probably a year for the next. Sadness is quickly settling in. ;)

2 young girls have gone missing in rural Herefordshire. PC Grant takes a break from his work with the uncanny in London and, with a little help from Beverly Brook and a few local magical beings tries to help the local police find out what happened to the little girls who apparently entered the woods following their invisible friend.

Another Corker from Aaronovitch. I absolutely adore this series for the myth and mystery. The dry humour and pithy asides never fail to have me smirking. I just love these books for escapism with just a spot of education!
