DNF around the halfway point. Drawn out plot with not a lot of movement and that characters were a bit flat.

I finish this book yesterday. It only took me 2 days to read this book. And it was 2 business day. I was at school! I was busy with school but I still choose to finish this book. That just goes to show how much I adore this book.

I would have never pick up a book so desperately during school days. Especially when my sleeping schedule is already a mess.

I had 2 test on Friday. Yet. What did I do? I choose to stay up until around 12:30 just to finish this book. And because this book is so heart wrenching, it made me stay up another 45 minutes. So… how great.

But I did really enjoy this book.

The very first few pages. BOOM! Tears! Flowing! Eyes! Watering! Yes, it move me that much.

MINOR SPOILER

I also really connect with the female. And also her friends. Because when Taylor (I know she’s supposed to be the deem “villain”) said that Julie stole all of Sam’s time. I felt… like I could relate to that. I’m quite clingy something ig. It means I tend to drag the people I love the most toward me. This scene and the whole scene surrounding Julie and Sam really make me think of my own actions.

But then again, I still can’t connect much to Julie. This book read quite… distant. Like I’m detached to Julie. It’s like I know this is her story. But it felt like she was recounting it. I’m not sure how to put it into words. But it reminds me of another book I read, something it ends or something like that. The book that had a pretty cover of a illustrated girl and bed, shores, and it’s pretty short. Anywayyy it just give of that vibe.

I felt like I was more connected to Sam then to Julie. Julie felt like a ghost.

But their story—

Omg I’m sobbing so much just reading the last few pages.

The writing was so good! It really adds to that nostalgic feel. And also when reading it, there are scene (specifically flashback) that I could envision it like a film. It was so cool!

I really like this book. It made me cry. I needed that.

Honestly, this was ok. I don't really have any strong feelings about it
I liked it but I don't know weather to rate it 2.75 or 3 stars lol

I kind of wished we got to know Sam a bit more though :/
I want to read the author's other work
