There's a pretty good book here but unfortunately it starts about half way through and so it's really short. Once the main characters go to explore the cyclopean city it gets interesting, but before then it's an incredibly pointless boat trip with some minor conspiracies and foolish people and really nothing much. Give me the magical blue flames and menacing gods and battles of the second half.
