I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved the characters. Judy had me hooked from the beginning and wondering exactly what that connection is and how it’s all tied together and then we get Heather and Ava which really draws you in. I loved little Ava. She is just adorable and I loved the connection and continuation with Wolfie through the story. It definitely takes Sebastian a little while to figure himself out but I loved that Heather didn’t let him get away with it and his family called him out to while also giving him the support he needed. Heather has some things she needs to work through as well and I loved watching her own those mistakes and be willing to look at them and admit it. This story was well written and flowed well. It was smooth and had me engaged and wanting more the entire time.
The narrators did a fantastic job with the different voices and accents and bringing all the characters to life. I really enjoyed it.

Great read

This was a fun book where I laughed and cried and swooned. I loved Heather’s quirkiness. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

This wasn’t bad. I think I had picked up a book by this author before that I didn’t finish. But I was too intrigued by the summary of this book to pass this up. And I’m glad I didn’t. In this, we meet Heather and her precious little 4 year old adopted daughter Ava. Ava has lost her beloved stuffed animal Wolfie. Heather goes so far as to put out a social media announcement about the lost toy. The toy is found by widower Sebastian who is suffering on the 5th anniversary of the death of his wife and unborn child. He almost throws Wolfie away but his mother manages to convince him to return it in person. He does and he and Heather are instantly attracted to each other. But it’s not that easy for them. No. They both play the push and pull game for most of the book. They both have so many issues and so much baggage. Sebastian fears he can never be the man he used to be. Heather has abandonment issues and tends to cut someone off at a first mistake before they have the chance to leave her. But both learn to be better for the other. This is a pretty sweet and sometimes funny little romance that I ended up enjoying. I guess the other books in the series will be his brothers also finding love and I can’t wait to see who they end up with.

Missing Something

I liked the premise of this book but I think the execution fell flat. Sebastian and Heather went from fighting to deeply in love so fast that I felt like I missed a chapter. I didn’t feel them fall in love, just saw them say the words.

** I was given the ARC in exchange for my Honest Review **

This one was a bit confusing to start with, there was a lot going on that awas kind of jumbled, to me personally, but once I really started reading it I fell in love with the torture that Sebastian was putting himself through, over something that he had no control over. I could see the pressures that Heather was putting herself through to be the best mommy she could be to Ava.

As a working mom I can feel for Heather so much on the parent level and how defensive you get over your children, and what goes through your mind when someone questions your parenting style. We as parents question that so much already about ourselves.

Amazing start to this new series. It starts with Judy, a girl trying to find her father's relatives for a family tree project, this story is an ongoing one and I hope to read more in the following books from the series. Then we have Sebastian, a man that lost everything he loved her pregnant wife, then we meet Heather, a single mother posted a reward for her daughter's favorite stuffed animal. Sebastian finds it and goes to return it, then everything changed. This book has other characters from previous books, but it's a new series so it can be read as a complete stand alone. There are some hilarious scenes and some truly deep emotional ones as well.

Who doesn’t love a grumpy millionaire with a sunshine girl? I loved Heather and Ava and how it wasn’t a straightforward term for family, that part was beautiful.

The sex scene was very enjoyable and I can only imagine what they did in that mansion.

I really enjoyed it, it was a little fast paced but overall a nice short cheesy read.

Sadly, I can not connect with The Broken One. This is my first read by Miss Cardello. I do not like the plot.
I feel the story ia not build focusing on the romance between Sebastian and Heather. The hero and heroine characters are build seperately. I can not feel the connection.

Even the sex scenes are minimum and feel cold. Maybe I am not get used to Miss Cardello's writing. Maybe I am just not getting the right vibe.

31 books into 2022. Not a lot of promising books so far.
