I really enjoyed the audiobook version of this anthology, which features the 15 contributors each reading their own essay. I’d like to read the print version as well… there’s a lot to pore over and reflect on. As a non-Latinx, I’m not the main audience here, but boy, I appreciate the generosity with which each contributor shares moments and reflections from their lives. The representation from a number of Afro-Latinx authors is refreshing.

This collection dispels stereotypes and encourages Latinx youth (and adults) across the diaspora to be seen and heard.

This was a fascinating look at some of the many identities that intersect with the Latinx experience within the Latinx Diaspora. I enjoyed this collection despite misunderstanding that it was going to be a collection of articles (I thought it was a collection of short stories for some reason) It got me thinking about the intersections of my own various identities.
