Another case where Holmes does a teeny bit of sleuthing and figures it all out and is a bit pompous about it all.
And another case where Watson's wife is at least alluded to - so she is still alive and patient as far as we can tell.

While this was a bit predictable because of its similarity with The Red Headed League, I liked how the motives were blurry until the very end.

A man goes to get a very popular job at a very well to do company. Before he goes for his interview, he's offered a job by another company. One that he has never heard of before. He decides to accept the position anyways. Upon arriving at the job, he suspects something odd. So he asks Sherlock Holmes to investigate for him.

I want to know how I had never read Sherlock Holmes before? To be fair, I've never really watched the movies or any television shows related to it either. I've heard of it for a long time. I could say that I'm quite familiar with it.

I'm about to give a very unpopular opinion here I'm sure. While I find the Sherlock Holmes stories very entertaining and humorous, I don't see what the beig hype about them is. I mean they are cute. They are witty. But some of the stories lack a substance I really feel they need. They should be a little more drawn out. I feel a lot of the story is left up to the imagination of the reader.

Either way, I recommend this book. Sherlock Holmes is a classic. I fully believe all classic novels need to be read at least once in a lifetime. It's not a horrible story. It's just not really a story that I can get super excited about I guess. I liked it, but I didn't love it.
