This was a good cry book. The story was complete. I feel no need for a sequael. (Sometimes it is a pleasure to read a stand-alone book, with no obligation to read more.)

I think this is more a 3.5 stars book than a round 3 but I can't bring myself to give it 4, although at the beginning I thought I would... yet, the final pacing seemed too fast, too... unrealistic? Well, the whole story has a touch of unreality which I don't usually mind, yet some things should still make sense... the word "gay", for instance, wasn't really used as describing homosexuality at the time.

I was quite charmed by Jonathan, but Stewart I could take or leave, really.

It was a fun book, I don't regret reading it, but it wasn't all that special.
