This is not where you should start with this author. The novels that these stories branch off of would have been better. I read it looking for a quick holiday book to get into the holiday season. This being YA and short stories should have fit well. The fantastical creatures (fae and mermaids) don’t interest me and my love for mythology isn’t what it used to be. The stories were entertaining and probably would hit the right spot for readers appropriate for the demographic this book is meant for.
