This book was very cute and I think most kids will love reading about Zorro. Poor little Zorro, he starts the day off fine but then his human puts him in a superhero outfit. Then things go from bad to worse. I love the illustrations, they let you know exactly what Zorro is thinking and feeling. And, of course, by the end of the book Zorro loves his outfit.

Mr. Bud and Zorro are doggie pals. Anybody who's ever put an outfit on their dog (or cat) can see how Zorro feels. But, look what happens when another dog in a costume shows up! I can't say just how delightful these books by Carter Goodrich are.

Zorro's not happy when his person puts a mask and cape on him. The other dogs tease him. But when he meets another dog who's fast and can catch a frisbee, and also wears an outfit, he decides that maybe it's not so bad.

In this hilarious second book about the dogs Mister Bud and Zorro, Zorro the pug is given a superhero outfit to wear. Zorro is miserable at first, especially when all of the other dogs make fun of him. But after meeting another dog in an outfit at the park, things are looking up. The illustrations give fabulous insight into the changing emotions of the dogs. Recommended for grades K-2.

Carter strikes again! Gorgeous illustrations and a fun story. This one is more heartfelt than the last, where Zorro is excited about his new outfit but learns how hard it is to be different. This one struck a chord for me, being quite different myself. This book will go in my arsenal of tools to encourage my son to be different and proud. You dance to the beat of your own drum long enough, you'll find someone to dance with you.

A fun read that I could totally relate to since my dog usually loves to dress in costumes. I think I'll use this as a book talk if I become an elementary librarian.

Zorro gets an outfit he is embarassed about. The illustrations showing his humiliation are so cute! But all ends well.
