eh, it was alright. i felt that it implied the only professions all immigrants hold are the manual labor jobs that no one else wants to do. definitely respect immigrants as the backbone of this country, but they're not just instruments of labor?? the ending somewhat redeemed its treatment of immigrants, though. the tone is like detached dark humor about the real-life suffering of so many minority groups, and i know it's satire and the point is to mock and criticize, but being written by a white man, it just made me uncomfortable. i do appreciate that it didn't take such an un-nuanced, black-and-white view as "republicans bad, democrats good," but criticized democrats as well for inaction (without redeeming republicans)
