I love Patrick Ness. He makes me so happily confused.
Half the story focuses on Adam and one hectic day where everything goes wrong but ends up right. The other half is about... well, I'm still not sure. A ghost I guess? Yeah, that part of the book was weird. But I enjoyed it, even if I finished the book going 'wat?'.
But it was really good! You should read it :)

Beautifully written with a powerful story that many can probably connect to on an incredibly deep level. Adam Thorn’s story is moving and powerful and important.

Two stories in one book: alternated between normal Adam Thorn in religious town having a day and mystical-faun-dead-Queen story. Didn't quite understand the purpose of the mystical-faun-dead-Queen story but like the fantasy feel it gave to the overall story.
-Liked how the two stories briefly came together at the end
-Loose ends weren't tied up but that's kinda okay?
-Best part was the run at the beginning
-Steifvater's Raven Cycle + Black's Darkest Part of the Forest Vibes
-Paired well with Spring Awakening
