I really enjoyed seeing the main character, Charlie and her best friend discuss the jealousy and resentment between them about their respective places in society. I don't think it's discussed enough how this effects friendships. I think it's healthy to put these things on the table instead of pushing them aside or hiding them. <spoilers>Graphic: Body shaming, Death of parent, and Fatphobia
Moderate: Mental illness

3.5 - 4 ⭐s. I am always here for a fat heroine, especially a fat WOC who loves herself (for the most part, as we all can relate to, I think). This book was a fun, quick, and surprisingly deep read that explores mother daughter relationships and friendship dynamics in a really interesting way. The cast of characters is very diverse, and the love interest is also fat, which *swoon*. Only giving it a slightly lower rating because I just don't think it will stick with me for long.
Minor: Body shaming, Bullying, Death of parent, Emotional abuse, Fatphobia, Grief, and Mental illness
