It's OK. It ends in a sort of cliffhanger HFN, though, and it's not very spicy.

Noble outcasts/criminals versus evil galactic corporation. Some really creative world building in a somewhat uneven narrative with appealing characters. First in the series, I will probably read the next one.

This author comes up with the most intriguing aliens…

And they all seem to have a particular fondness for human women. Qaiyaan and his crew of pirates are basically looking for some revenge against the Synicorp who destroyed their home world. It takes a bit before we get the whole mythology of the Daniadans, but you really feel for their loss. Lisa is a hoot. It takes her a while to get comfortable with the guys but if she lives she will be a great addition to the crew. But Baddies are out there. Loved this sexy, sci-fi romantic adventure.

This wasn't a bad book. It was just too similar to the Corsairs books by Ruby Dixon, but not as well written. The storyline is good. I could have done with less repetition and more description. I know the aliens are copper, but what else do they look like? I might have been not paying enough attention, but it felt like we skipped very important scenes just to keep the plot moving. One minute there's an alien ship overtaking their ship, the next second the MCs are in bed... There is a lot of potential. It just fell a little flat for me.
