I thought this was Adult since it is written by Lynsay Sands. Alas, it is not. Or, if it is, I never got that far.
From the minute I started reading it felt like the story was dragging.
Loaded with a lot of unnecessary information and it the story drag to a snails crawl.
Also the way it is written. For instance,
"They’d been calling all the numbers in Abel’s sister’s book for nearly an hour now and..."
Shouldn't this just say Edie's book? Another reason the story drags.
By page 61 the story is dragging horribly and disappointment has firmly settled in to my brain.
But I persevered to page 153 (39.53%) when I put it in my finish later shelf.
The thought of trying to finish it just sent me searching for something else I had to read NOW. Meaning, I made excuses to not finish it.
So now at 40 something percent it has been put to rest in my DNF Graveyard. There it will stay.
I have no interest in trying to read this one.
I don't read YA.
If you like ya, go for it & give it a try.

This was such fun and I think could have made a great series, but works well as a standalone novel. Think feminist, comedic James Bond and you're on the right track! It has a great pace with fun characters. There's a sassy and believable heroine, a very scary and talented grandmother and a bevy of sexy men drooling over the unsuspecting heroine, whose painfully shy and not aware of her natural charms! The missile launching vibrator and tracking tampons had me spitting up my coke and belly laughing on the train, much to the amusement of my fellow passengers. Well worth a read.

This story was hilarious, sexy, suspenseful, entertaining and absolutely what I needed while the real world out there is in such chaos. This riveting read hits the right notes with the spy gadgetry inventor involved in the latest BLISS case. While the spy company title takes me back to the author’s earlier medieval romp of the same name, the enjoyment is just the same. Bliss, the medieval romance, was one of my top favorite reads of all time. I really enjoy Lynsay Sands novels.

This book was a lot of fun to read! I really enjoyed the characters and B.L.I.S.S. and the whole set up! Really great book, and I would love to have a sequel!

3.5. I seriously laughed out loud while reading this - mostly due to the hilarious devices Jane makes, and the "punderful" names of some of the characters.

See my review of "The Loving Daylights" by Lynsay Sands on Romance Reviews Today in February 2015.

The Loving Daylights is a one-two punch of action and hilarity. Only the super talented Lynsay Sands could write a romantic spy novel with such quirky characters and have it work so well.

‘The world was counting on her and Gran to save them. A techno-geek and a half-paralyzed ex-spy. Oh, this was just great.’

I will start off by saying that this book may not be for everyone. I personally happen to love screwball comedies where the characters are smart but klutzy, and a little goofy but still lovable. And that’s exactly what Jane and the rest of the characters are like, so this worked for me, keeping me laughing continuously.

I'm pretty much a Lynsay Sands fanatic. I've read just about everything that she has written, I love her historicals and her Argeneau vampire series (all 18 of them). When I read the blurb for The Loving Daylights, I was very excited because I realized that this was going to be a completely new Lynsay Sands experience. The Loving Daylights is vastly different from Sands other work, but I'm happy to say it was just as enjoyable. It's pretty obvious from the beginning that Sands is spoofing the typical super secret spy agent story so you have to go into it with some serious suspension of disbelief. Yes it's something that has been done (a la Austin Powers), but I think Sands pulled it off quite well. She managed to combine a real romance story with believable emotional growth, a pretty suspenseful mystery, and laugh out loud humor to create a novel that kept me interested and entertained throughout.
