Finally done with this. Thank God. I'm not going to rate this. It was a good book just not for me. It was far too trigger for me with April's actions and personality. She was basically manic and I did not need that in my life.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted to rate this novel. I wanted to like this book and support Hank but there wasn't really anything I enjoyed about it. April May's character was intolerable and as the book is from her POV, you couldn't escape her or her thoughts. None of the other characters were fleshed out at all, which could have been a deliberate choice because April is the most self-centered person ever but it mostly came off as flat, one-dimensional background characters.

No spoilers but the ending was unsatisfying, frustrating, and not an ending at all. I had to sit through all those pages of April May only to have that end. It was almost insulting.

Having said all that, the book definitely sucks you in and you can't help turning page after page, trying to see what happens next.
