**I received a free copy of this book via Library Thing/Ravenswood in exchange for a review but unfortunately there is nowhere on their website to post reviews**

A very poorly written novel. The author seems to feel the overwhelming need to 'teach' her readers about the sins of xenophobia and racism, and provides a number of very tedious examples to try and get her point across. Her effort is tacky, offensive and lacks credibility. I found myself unable to progress past the first chapter, and spot reads of the rest of the book indicated that the story does not improve in any significant way. In trying to give Ms Crate the benefit of the doubt, I mistakenly assumed that this is a debut novel and was greatly perturbed to discover that it is, in fact, book number 3.

Some books are simply not meant to be written, and I believe this novel is one of them.
