I'm... once again torn. I really like the book, but on the other hand, this whole part of the series seems to be building up to a non-existent climax. The first novel in this series is basically introduction and some background, and this one is where all the action happens. And none of the climax.
Overall, though, it's a very good novel - well-written, reads easily and it drags you under immediately, but well... no climax. That's why it's four stars and not five.

I found this instalment to be much better than the previous one. Where Conjuror was confusing this, I felt was clearer. There were still some confusing moments particularly a bit towards the end where I was like 'seriously?' and I'm not overly sure what is happening romance wise (honestly I'd be happy if they just didn't go there) but overall it was a good read and I'd say 3.75 from me.
